I'll probably never be able to prove it but I think my wife secretly works for Apple. In fact, I'm pretty sure she works in the iPhone division. Have you ever finished a long phone conversation with a family member or a friend, hung up the phone and then immediately realized you forgot to ask them about their recent vacation or thank them for a birthday card? Happens to me all of the time. Which is why today's technology I'd like to see is caller ID with notes (feel free to come up with a better name). Caller ID with notes would work hand-in-hand with your existing caller ID system. I almost always consider technology an improvement to my life. But sometimes it can be downright annoying. Take the Olympics for example. Because of the time difference between Indianapolis and Beijing, many of the events have already been completed before they air on the U.S. networks. 20 years ago, this wasn't a big deal. You just made sure you didn't watch the news so that you could pretend any event you were watching was actually live. Fast forward to 2008. I've been declaring this for the past two years but I think it's time I go on record. Within the next three years, give or take a year, we are going to have a problem with electrical theft in our country. I'm not talking about black ski mask over the head, sneak around with a flashlight in the dark theft.
