I've been declaring this for the past two years but I think it's time I go on record. Within the next three years, give or take a year, we are going to have a problem with electrical theft in our country. Microsoft has taken a lot of heat lately mainly due to the bad press Windows Vista has received. But also because they have just sat back and let Apple attack them with their "Hello I'm a Mac and I'm a PC" ad campaign without firing back a single shot. Meanwhile, Apple has moved up to the third spot in computer sales and has been thriving off the media attention of their non-computer products such as the iPod, Apple TV and the iPhone. BabyCenter, the self-proclaimed "leading destination on the Internet for new and expectant parents" is running a poll on their web site asking moms, "Which tech gadget, electronic device, or technology can you not live without?" Choices include cell phone, PDA, microwave, email, Internet, GPS, TiVo, television, DVD player, digital music player, video game console, digital camera, other and none of the above. Audible.com recently sent me an email solicitation trying to get me to come back to them (I used their service a long time ago). Last night’s American Idol results show once again proved to me how technology is constantly changing. During the new segment where viewers are allowed to ask questions of the judges and contestants, a 20 year old woman asked Ramiele, one of the remaining contestants who just also happens to be 20 years old, “What was the last song you downloaded to your iPod?” Ramiele quickly answered with the name of a song by R.
